Project overview

In 2019, HydroQuest and CMN (Constructions Mécaniques de Normandie), with support from the University of Caen Normandie, successfully installed and connected a 1 MW turbine at the Paimpol-Bréhat test site (Brittany), owned by EDF.

This prototype demonstrated the technology’s performance in real-world conditions. It was retrieved in October 2021 after two and a half years of immersion for expert analysis.
